Hi! I’m Eric Nathanson, and I’m running to represent Scarborough in the Maine State House of Representatives. Our country is facing two existential crises: the collapse of democracy in the face of fascism, and ecosystem collapse on a burning planet. These two problems and their underlying causes affect our everyday lives: making essentials of living expensive and inaccessible, our towns worse to live in, and funneling resources away from things which actually make our lives better. But the good news is: these problems can be solved, our legislature right here in Maine can be part of the solution, and we can bring our community closer together while doing it. We can fight for affordability, connection, health, and more as we protect ourselves from these crises. I hope to be your next representative, to be one piece of the puzzle in heading off the threats we face. I promise to use every single lever of power at my disposal to stand up for you.

My top priorities:

• Invest in our future: fund education and fight climate change

• Protect our democracy and civil rights

• Win back affordability and a fair tax system
